Tips for using the 'Kinoni Barcode Reader Pro' with 'Incident Commander Pro'.

1. Install the Android Phone App: 'Kinoni Barcode Reader Pro'.

2. Install the Kinoni barcode server onto the Windows computer.
   - Unzip and then run KinoniWinInstaller281.exe on your Windows computer.
(This barcode server should then automatically start on the Windows computer whenever the 'Kinoni Barcode Reader Pro' is run on the smartphone).


Tips: - Check that the smartphone has WiFi turned on, and that it is on the same WiFi network as the Windows computer.
      - Ensure that there is plenty of light for the camera to view the barcode.

Note: Your firewall application can block the traffic between the Windows PC and the smartphone. If you use the Windows firewall 'Kinoni Barcode Reader' Windows installer will automatically configure it to allow traffic. If you are using third party firewall software like Norton or F-Secure you need to configure them to allow Bonjour-service traffic on UDP port 5353. Also allow 'KinoniSvc' to accept incoming connections to TCP port 5055.
